Responsible AI begins with practical habits, not a policy document alone. Assign an accountable owner, identify the data that must never enter public tools, define when human review is required, and give staff a simple route to raise questions. Review these rules with UU PDP and sector-specific obligations in mind.
Start with the task rather than the technology. Map the steps, handoffs, delays, quality checks, and data involved in a real workflow. Then classify each step as human-led, AI-assisted, or potentially automatable. This reveals where AI will create value and what needs to change around it.
A promising pilot is not yet a transformation. Set an owner, define the behaviour and outcome you expect, train people in their real workflow, and review use after launch. The strongest programmes make managers part of the change and adapt when early evidence shows friction.
